I've been trying to clean my wheels but break dust has decided to apply its self to my wheels in a less than favorable manor.
I've tried a few cheaper with trying to get it off but now I'm willing to try something more expensive to try and remove it as I'm at my wits end with it.
Any ideas what I should use?
Thanks, Dan.

If the wheels are neglected for a long period, you may have permanent damage.
Can you describe what kind of car it is, what problem you're having? Have you had a chance to work with any of the better wheel cleaners?

Okay thanks for your suggestions. I was just googling about and I've found this:
GBL Wheel Cleaner
I've not really tried many other cleaners to be honest. I've scrubbed bloody hard though, Haha. Its a 95 Mustang with standard wheels.
Thanks for the help guys.

What is the finish of the wheel. If they're aluminum (brushed or polished) be carefull what you use on them. If they're clear coated, I would try soaking them with Eagle One A2Z and letting it sit for a few before aggitating with a good stiff wheel brush. That stuff is so strong it'll take the wind out of you if you stand too close to it when you spray it.
If that doesn't work, try to clay it but I would say that you're fighting a losing battle in that case.2003 Ford SVT Cobra #4635 of 8394.

I use P12S wheel gel with great results. If you have really stubborn stuff you might need to try Megs Wheel Brightener. Really caustic stuff however.

Now i wouldn't try this until we get some feedback from someone else who is a bit more knowledgeable then me about it, but I've used a Mr. Clean magic eraser with pretty good success to get off really stubborn brake dust. however this was on wheels with a clear coat and it potentially could have thinned the clear pretty bad, i really have no idea what the long term consequences or risks are of that method.

Meg's Wheel Brightener is awesome. It works well, but doesn't seem that corrosive to me, at least at 4:1. A2Z is worse to breathe...
