Optimum really make nice products, I am another fan | I've used both ColorX and Poli Seal and feel that ColorX is the better product.

EDIT: my bad, I thought you were talking about longevity and bonding issues. If you were talking about cut, then I agree. I think most of the cut of PS comes from your pad, but it has excellent cleaning ability. I have used it on the Cyclo with orange pads and corrected quite a lot with a nice finish though...

Colour X/66 is better when you want oxidation or swirl removal in a single step and need more cut than Poli-Seal. Meg's D151 has even more cut than Colour X.
I find that I use Poli-Seal more though as I will be doing a polishing step(or two+) before to remove scratches first, so just a mild final polish is needed.
I too use Optimum Polish, ONR, OCW, OID, Protect + and love them all. I have switched out OC and HC for other compounds though.(not enough cut as M105/M95/HTEC etc.)
The magic ratio for OID for me is to put the 32oz container into an empty gallon container and fill it with filtered water right up to the handle area giving you about a 3.5 to 1 ratio and it cut down on any streaking I had on the odd black car.

Those who have had streaking, might consider a 4:1 ratio. Still plenty of slickness and it becomes even more cost effective.
As far as Opti-seal being compatible. So far I've used it several times as abase sealant (right after polishing) AND I've layered it on top of a fresh coat of Mother's Carnauba with excellent results. I've also used it right after poli-seal (see my 97 Malibu neglected thread LOL).
One thing I've read and dying to try is mixing 1 oz of opti-seal with a full bottle of poli-seal to give the AIO a sealant boost.
I think Optimum products are really compatible and you could come up with a variety of creative 'coctails'.
Starting to sound like I work for Optimum...LOL sorry

The Opti-Seal is downright silly. Wipe on, walk away, beautiful finish and excellent long lasting protection.

If you used 32 oz of OID and then filled the gallon the remainder of the way with water, you would have 3 to 1 (96 oz water to 32 oz of OID).

Just recently tried OC and OP and don't think I will ever pick them up again. Infact, I can't think of a product that I have been more disapointed in then OC and OP. On soft black paint (Rolls and Bentley), OP finished so badly, I had to go back over it with SIP to clean up the mess it left. Thought I would try to save some money and ended up throwing more down the drain.
But the rest of the Optimum products are fantastic.

You are correct that if I put a 32oz container into a gallon container and fill up 96oz more it would make it 3:1. Most "gallon" containers hold more than 128oz. 128oz puts it only to the "ridge" area near the top of most gallon containers. I then add more water to fill if even higher towards the top(handle area) giving me the 3.5 to one like I said!

If you had problems with optimum polishes you must tell us what pads you used with them. Some pads react quite badly with them, also they work very differntly than other compounds(less is more) To polish a average mid size sedan takes less than 1oz of product, use more and you will be cusring for sure.
As for mixing ratios for OID I mix 3to 1 as requested, but with distlled water. If you are a very hot climate, or working in the sun add 10% rubbing alcohol, makes the product less streaky on a hot car.
