Ultima Paint Guard System

Can someone who has used this product for more than 6 months please comment on the durability?

Also, have you learned any tip or tricks on application you can share?

I have been using since August and so far so very good. I have 2 coats on the car and will hopefull add a 3rd this weekend in preperation for the winter. I really hope it get me through the dog days of winter like my Colonite 845 did. I love the ease of use, the deep wet gloss and would just like some unbiased word on the long term durability.

Thanks very much!

Re: Ultima Paint Guard System

Ultima is a pretty good product. Most reviews that I've read indicate roughly 3 months durability. For comparison 845 would get me roughly 3 months in the summer. I suspect that Ultima would wash cleaner during winter than a wax. I always found that dirt would stick to 845 if it wasn't hand washed frequently.

Re: Ultima Paint Guard System

I can tell you for sure that the Ultima washes very clean. Nothing sticks to it! I use very little product other than car wash soap (1/2 oz per gallon) to wash and keep my car very contaminant free. The surface is super slick, deep and wetr looking. If it lasts I am hooked.

Also liked the Colonite 845IW I was using prior. Has that nice greasy, waxie feel. Beads water like CRAZY. I was totally afraid to buff anything off black. I am using my remaining supply of 845IW on my wifes silver truck. Looks great and last great.

Very happy with Ultima Paint Guard System.
