Turns out I wasn't as close to mixing it double strength as I thought. I had been using five capfuls per two gallons of water. Seven is the magic number.

An ONR mix that's double strength at 1oz/gallon seems to work great for me. I use 4 caps (32oz bottle cap) for ~2.5 gallons or less.

I also think that more solution cleans out the wash media a bit better. I can rub the wash media thoroughly over a grit guard and it rinses significantly better than the normal 1oz/2gallon dilution.

I think Anthony O. said that 1oz/gallon was his ratio in that youtube ONR video a while back. Optimum No Rinse Demo
