ZCS is an outstanding product. One of the best WOWA products. I have ZCS, OOS, and Ultima. They are all nice in their own regards.

A reformulation is part of what innovation entails. If the reformulation was indeed to make it slicker (I have a bottle of ZCS from when it was first released) thats great that they changed to meet consumer demand.

Optimum released OID in part to make OS slicker after application. I would say their both responding to demand, in albeit different ways.

Because you seem to have a bone to pick with Zaino, do you always complain about ZCS because its the only Zaino product that is similar to an Optimum product? (and yes, I know you use Z5, etc., and no I dont think ZAIO are as similar as ZCS and OOS, IMO)

Also, I dont see how Optimum X is any different then Matrix Micro, Xyliizon, etc. Its just another semi-permanent coating aimed at a particular niche (though it appears it may in part be marketed toward enthusiasts/weekend warriors)

I would say Edge, Ultima, and Optimum are some of the most innovative.

I had what I was told the final product version in my hands before ZCS was out. The product version I got seemed exactly the same.

I am not sure how someone is supposed to take your evaluation of a product serious if you are not testing the most recent version of that product. When I have seen you talk about CS in the past, you never mention that you where using an early version of CS when you state your findings.
As far as I know, I have the first version. I have heard the new version looks better but streaking is a problem. As good as UPGP and OS are, I see no compelling reason to drop any money on ZCS. I think both Z5 and Z8 add much more to the finish anyway. I'll stick with those two products when I use Zaino.

It would be the same if I said NXT performed poor against product x. Most folks would ask (rightly so) if I tried V2 of NXT.
I would assume if you simply put NXT you were using the original version. Those using the new version tend to use NXT2 or NXTv2 to denote it.

The only bone I have to pick with Zaino is some of the users. I don't always complain (more like mention when the subject comes up) that ZCS did not perform as well for me as OS does. Notice I don't have any problems with Z7 vs Optimum Car Wash Soap because I think they are both equally good.

For some reason I thought you traded the CS you received away. I am getting old though....

Streaking is only a problem when too much is used. Pretty much an issue with all of the products in this WOWO catagory. We know how much to use, but some still can't get past over applying. "If I can't see it, how can it be working, ect"

I would think that many would assume you are talking about the latest CS when you refer to it.

Re: Most innovative brand?

Okay, next time I will try to be more clear that I have only used the original version. Good enough?

I did end up trading away the ZCS, but I did keep the Z5, Z6, Z8 and Z10. I like those products just fine.

Re: Most innovative brand?

I say Zaino because you get the best of both worlds looks and durability. As we all know looks are subjective , but durablilty is real. I have tested tons of products here in CT where snow , salt and such are a great test . ZCS & Z8 can't be beat . I feel JMO that if Zaino didn't perfect the wowo the other guys would still be working on it. Wasn't one of them being tested for years? ZCS comes out and suddenly everyone finds the answer ! That's what you call inovation !!

Re: Most innovative brand?

At this point in time, I think of Optimum as being one of the more innovative companies.

Re: Most innovative brand?

I think Zaino ranks right up there simply because the rumor is that Sal is constantly tweaking formulas. Many manufactures use the same formula for decades without change. ZCS really is a great product, with the correct technique streaking is an non issue. In fact, if streaking occurs with any Zaino sealant if you let the product alone the streaks will dissapear. It's as if they become optically clear.
