Re: Does UPGP Work?

Your car looks really wet. I keep seeing pics like that and I want to try the UPGP. I have the DWG already.

Give it a try, scary bill, you'll love it. I think David still has a few of the UPGP sample kits available for sale. At least, they were there three days ago.

Re: Does UPGP Work?

Is DWG worth purchasing? Besides it being sealant compliant I don't really see the absolute need to buy it for UPGP. Lots of rave from some members though.

Re: Does UPGP Work?

I'm going out on a limb and guessing the DWG is kinda like putting on a carnuba wax on top of any sealant, such as UPGP.

Like the Klasse SG, a lot of people put several layers of Klasse SG, then top it off with a wax to give it more depth and shine.

Its all subjective. Do you need it, no. Does it change the look of whatever your putting it on, yes. I actually am going to try CG WMF with UPGP hopefully in the next week or so. Its snowing in Chicago today after being mid to high 70's all last week.

For 35 bucks I beleive it's worth it. It will last you a long time.

I tried it recently based on the positive reviews here. I used it on my metallic silver paint, on top of JW AJT, and could not discern any difference whatsoever.

I did exactly half of my roof to make it easier to compare.

I applied it by hand, not sure if that makes a difference.

Not helping guys

JK

If I buy more stuff now I may end up in the dog house. I have to use up what I have. My wife was nice enough to get me the DWG and some Paste Wax for Fathers Day(I even got to use them early).
Although my birthday will be here in a few more months

I used it on 2 different metallic blue trucks so far. I could see an improvment in the wettness. I did notice it most on the curved panels, the flat roofs on the trucks did not look any different. My trucks have a lot of curves.

Give it a try on a door and fender, as it seems to matter IME.

I too didn't see much of a difference after applying it over 2X UPGP. After applying UPGP over DWG there was a noticeable shine. Applied 2 more coats of UPGP and it seemed to get better after each coat.

If you didn't notice much difference when you applied it over the UPGP, what makes you think that the DWG helped the shine after you applied another coat of UPGP? How do you know it wasn't just the additional coat(s) of UPGP that added to the shine/wetness?
