finishing polish

Can anyone tell me what the best kind of finishing polish there is and what pad to use w\ it? Thanks. I'm currently using optimum polish w\ either green "score" pad for light cutting and blue final finishing "score" pad.

Menzerna 106ff, MC87, or FPII
I using Wolfgand Fininshing Glaze right now

all can be applied with Blue or White LC pads

My money's on Ultrafina SE with the blue 3M Ultrafina pad. The difference between OP and UF in terms of ease of use is unbelievable.

UF and 106ff are nice. ZPC if you are using zaino sealants.

any advice on the steps of paint correction. Do I cut, polish, glaze then wax? need help, new to this.

I've been using Finish Kare 336NG micropolish with LC white and black/gray pads lately. Both with a PC and a rotary. Very nice stuff!
And it's a lot less money than Ultrafina and 106FF.

My first experience with it was on a Infinti G35 loaner car in black. And the swirls were tasty. 336NG worked very well and you could feel it working and do a final breakdown.
But, keep the pad clean. Use an old toothbrush. The driver's side of the hood looked like new when I brought it back to the dealership.

Some people are listen 106FF thats a pretty strong cutting compound

Some people are listing a glaze that has no cut but just filling abilities.

Compound: Heavy abrasives removes heavy scratches, heavy swirls
Polish: Medium abrasives removes Swirls
Finishing Polish: Light abrasives removes marring, holograms and buffer trails
Glaze: No abrasives just oils and fillers, removes marring not covered from the finishing polish.
Sealant: Long lasting protection
Wax: Wet look shine

Alot of products cover multiple steps. Some wax's have glaze like abilities. Some sealants have finishing polish sized abrasives.

Most people only use 2 or 3 of the above steps as the more steps you add you begin to produce very little gain.

Yes but 106FF cuts the surface stronger than any finishing polish i've seen.

It doesn't always finish perfectly on soft black paint. Alot of people here have mentioned this but really thats a user error as they are expect something with such strong cut to finish perfect all the time.

106FF is a good all round light swirl/ finishing polish. It is definitely not a good finishing polish if it cant finish all paints.

Ultrafina is much better as a finishing polish. I have seen on more than one occasion someone who used 106FF finish with UF for a flawless finish.

I would only consider 106FF a finishing polish on hard ceramic clear paint.
