Age of autopians
I know there was a thread created in 2005 asking about the age of fellow autopians...thought with new memebers it would be interesting. I am 54 and have always loved washing and waxing my autos, but when I recently bought my new 2007 G35 Infiniti, I wanted to learn about better products and procedures. Had not realized how little I knew, have learned alot since joining Autopia.org.........Thanks for all the info

Re: Age of autopians
Alan...Reading Pa.
45.....May dad was a car nut, he worked for chevy his whole life. Thats... I guess where I caught the bug. He was a bit distrubed when I gave up on chevy and made the switch to RX-7 then Porsche 944 S/2 , Alfa spider voloce and then Porsche Boxster. I still have to spider and boxster and they are still like new. It took my dad a little time but he really learned to love my sports cars........May he rest in peace......

Re: Age of autopians
Mike, 29 here from Mass
I worked as a lot boy when I was 14-16 and just fell in love with keeping my cars clean. I thought I knew a lot until I joined Autopia. The information here has been invaluable!

Re: Age of autopians
Says born in 61' on my card.... First real job was at a Mobil gas station pumping gas, remember people did those jobs back then! The monkey wrench (tech) at the station had the finest 1977 black Trans Am, which had a killer cam lope, I think thats where the whole car thing started for me...chasing them ever since.

Re: Age of autopians
35 years and still ticking. As many had said before me, I thought I knew how to clean a car. Holy crap was I wrong. I came here to read about ONR during Christmas and now have towels, mitts, the UDM, polishes and more car care stuff than ever before in my life. This is a great place to learn and thanks to everyone for making autopia a great place.

Re: Age of autopians
21, started at 15 when I got my learner's permit. Back when dish sponges, dawn, and a bath towel sounded like a quality wash job to me.

Re: Age of autopians
Another 21 here. Always been a clean freak with my car, but this site has taken it to a whole new level. Not to mention all the money I've now spent on detailing supplies.
