Agreed. If I didn't have a garage, I'd get that one.

Go to carcoverworld.com and read up on the materials and uses. We have 3 cars but only a 2 car garage so the "beater" sleeps outside. I got one of the high end covers from these guys (don't recall if it is indeed the Weathershield - silly me) and love it. I always at least go over the car with a California Duster before covering it, and let me tell you, last week when it rained for a day and a half but the car was covered after a good "dusting" and QD, it was spotless when I took the cover off after everything dried. Great investment.

i would like one that is water PROOF, not just resistant. it is parked under a cover, but under heavy rain, the water gets on the car of course.

which of the california covers will be water proof in an instance like this?

I recommend a "Weathershield" custom fit car cover.

I have one myself, and its one of the best investments I made for my car!

I always take the "lets condensation escape but keeps water out!" claims with a grain of salt. And FWIW, I sure wouldn't want something truly waterproof lest the inevitable condensation gets trapped against the paint. IMO this is gonna be an imperfect solution no matter what so just decide what's really important to you.

What about those car capsules? They make one for outside use. Looks like a big green plastic balloon.
