New car protective cover

I'm sure you have all noticed the protective white plastic stuck on new cars when they are delivered. Anyone know what this stuff is? Obviosuly it doesn't do any damage. I'm curious if it is available to the general public. My though is to use it to cover the bumper and front end on road trips like a bra.

Do a search for XPEL...it is more permanent but provides protection and is clear in color.
