CD2 in Canada?

I recently placed an order with waxdepot.com for some cd2 engine detailer and was surprised to find out that they cannot ship aerosol products to canada...this is what they sent me..
Message in regards to your order (#1000000185XXXXX) from Wax Depot:
See below for copy of the Order's invoice.
Sorry we are unable to process this order because of USPS and UPS shipping
regulations regarding ORD-M materials and / or aerosol container products to
Canada. This invoice will be deleted.
My question is, are any Canadians using CD2? If so, where are you finding it? None of my local shops carry it at all.

I suppose I will post an intro thread now as well...

Re: CD2 in Canada?

From what I can tell, the product is no more. I have some and found that, although it does gloss up the engine area, it tends to attract dust and such so you get a film of fluff and stuff after awhile. I have a couple cans left, but, as you mentioned, it's not too easy to ship. I looked into it once and I would have had to get a special governmental authorization for the shipping company to ship it. Plus, there were extra fees added as it was classified as hazardous material, so a can of stuff that's usually under $10 was going to cost around 5X that amount to ship it.

Maybe I'll try garage saling it one of these years and hope someone local gets a thrill from it.

Re: CD2 in Canada?

I'm in BC and I bought a couple of cans about 6 months ago from Midway and had no trouble with the shipping. I also bought a couple of more cans from a member here and they crossed the border fine.
The shipping from Midway was tremendously expensive though and I probably wouldn't go that route again.
If you're on Vancouver Island or in Vancouver I'll sell you a can at cost.

Well, I will take 2 cases right now if you ever stock it...I may take more depending on the price and if I can resell it over here on the west side.

Chris,

tell them to put it on consignment, they pay for shipping any expired they will exchange and you get rock bottom pricing....last you need money for Mortgage/Rent/Storage fee to cover the amount lol
