Re: The heat My God The heat!

In the South it's worse because of the humidity.

92 degrees with 75% humidity (not unusual for this time of year) feels like 116.

Re: The heat My God The heat!

Winter just left us a couple months ago. We were still having snow in May and then we went right into the tripple digits. The thing that sucks about desert life is that it will fluctuate 30 degrees from one end of the day to the other. It is a chilly low low 70 or high 60 on the ride into work at 6:00 am, but by 3:00 it is 100 in the shade. Everybody gets a couple summer colds around here because of it.

Someone already gave the exact conversion . . . the formula is pretty simple:

F = (9/5) * C + 32

A useful rule-of-thumb that is close, but a lot quicker to do in your head: Double it and add 32. It's not exact, but at least you can quickly tell if your metric friend is too hot or too cold.

Re: The heat My God The heat!

Looks like the heat is back again. I mean in can work in low 30'sC=80's down south, but forecast is high 30's=100+ with humidity. Jees i'm scared to even touch a car with water in this heat. More days off at the lake. Maybe a little PR time.

When did NC become "The South"

It gets just as humid here in the north.
