Wheel Brush availability???
Any suggestions for wheel brushes available in the GTA? I'd like to get the Meguiars but I'm pretty sure it's not yet available in stores. Thanks!

No problems with marring using that one?
I e-mailed Meguiars yesterday but I'm still waiting for a response.

If you're like me you keep your wheels looking sharp all the time so I don't need a heavy duty cleaning brush. For me, the best is a sash brush, 2.5 inch, with duct tape wrapped around the metal ferrule.
I spritz the wheel with Eagle1 (silver plastic bottle) then use the sash brush to gently agitate the cleaner.
If I had any really caked on crud, the sash brush would be too gentle but it works like a charm and they're cheap as dirt at any hardware/paint store.
Maybe try one in the summer when cleaning is easy.
Another use of the sash brush would be to pour a little of the tire shine into a tray then use a sash brush to 'paint' the liquid onto the tire. No spray on the car nor the wheel this way, and no fling either.
Just a thought,
-John C.

I buy soft sponges at the dollar store, sometimes they have the sponges on a plastic stick like for washing glasses/bottles.
I find I get no marring, since they are 1 buck a dozen I throw them away after a few uses too. They really clean up well since they are coated in Eagle one wheel cleaner. I just bout 24 yesterday for 2 bucks, should last me through 2006
Around here they have the Megs brushes everywhere at half price, I even found some at Autozone for 4 bucks, this is the new type wheel and even the paint brush, personally I find both more harsh than the simple soft dollar store sponge. The bottle washer type allows me to get inside the wheel where the brush just cant reach.
The Megs brush seems designed for 18 wheeler rims, its just way too big and doesn't really work well for me with the 20 inch long heavy handle. I can see why they are being discontinued
Live and learn....

Which one??
Versa-Angle Tire Brush
Versa-Angle Wheel Face Brush
Versa-Angle Wheel Face Brush Short Handle
Ultra-Safe Wheel Spoke Brush
I brought the bottom one last week for the wheels on my Audi and at last I have found a brush that can get the insides of the wheel and spoke clean.
I'm in Rochester (like in the Ferry that never was) and PEP Boys carries them all. But when I'm in GTO I don't remember seeing any Pep Boys just Canadian Tire and Auto or something like that.

I bought a nice Oxo brand wheel brush a while ago and it's nice and soft. If you can find one I'd recommend that. Their spoke brush is also great, really gets into the inside of the wheel too. I found the Meg's brushes all a little too stiff for my liking. I did see them on sale at Advance Auto and Autozone and I know why. FalconGuy hit the nail on the head, they seem to be too long and too stiff. I guess they weren't a big seller.
As for the ferry, yes the city did buy it and I read that they have to do some tuneups on the engine. I hope to take it across this year, would be a fun trip. No PepBoys, Autozone or Advance Auto Parts here MorBid, just Crappy Tire and way overpriced Parts Source. We do have CARQUEST and Napa stores if you need stuff. I just wait until I'm down in the Buffalo area to pick up what I need.
Happy brushing!
