I remember a guy going by the name "Holden Caulfield" (like in Catcher in the Rye). If my memory serves me well, I think he was the owner of GTA in Detail.

This is not correct. I am the owner/operator of GTA In Detail. My username (as you can see) is Picus. HoldenC04 owned/operated Apollo Detailing. We have no affiliation.

Like kevin, not holden i am also in toronto. I still offer mobole services. I think after holden mangled a lambo, and was found out not.to be the hot ish he claimed to be he went underground in order.not to get stuck with the 10 grand bill.

Long story short he was a young kid that got on the forums and though he was hot stuff, promoted that he knew it all and was actually offering paid training. He came onto another forum that Scottwax and I frequent and started running his mouth before all the stuff went down with the lambo and tried threatening me when I called him out on his BS. He pretty much got ran off that forum and I never heard anything more until the lambo fiasco. Apparently he wanted to vacation in Florida for a couple weeks and thought a great way to pay for the trip would be to detail some cars while he was down there. He supposedly misrepresented who he was to the lambo guy and charged him some ridiculous fee like $4000 and wrecked some trim, carved up the paint etc... then ran when he was confronted with the damage and the fact that he was working in the US illegally. The story went viral and hit all the major car forums. Guy is a major douche

Lamborghini Gallardo: 4k in damage by a previous detailer.

That trim !

Luckily he didn't do too bad on the paint or damages would've far surpassed 4k!

Well we all learned a valuable lesson...avoid cigars while detailing, and double tape Gallardo trim. We were joking about that in the shop the other day, had two G's and used a lot of tape!
