"Their might not be 6 winners, but there are 6 cars in better condition because of these people."

Very well put. Thanks for all who took the time to view all entries and voted. To the other contestants, excellent details! I probably wont enter another contest unless I have something that will definetely top the miata.

For future advice to those who enter, since no one can see your work "in-person" my suggestion is better photography of your work. The easiest way to do it is the "During" shot. This is where you tape half the hood off and do one side like my last two entries. This way others can see the actual difference side by side. If possible try to get more pics in the sunlight, I was barely able to get a few by the end of the day on the miata. If not sunlight, try under the 500-1000 watt hologens.

It has been a true honor and surprise to win two months in a row. I tell people around my house or at work and they shrug off my story because they dont care really. But here, I feel great that others appreciate the work I have done and others work as well. As we all KNOW that detailing a abused car is NOT easy! heck detailing in general is a time consuming effort that a lot of people outside of Autopia just dont understand. Im sure with summer upon us there will be a lot more entries making competition even tougher in the next few months. Glad I entered early then!

Once again, thank you everyone, and great job goes to the other entries as they also worked VERY HARD on their ventures!!

Congrats 91bluecls! I knew I wouldn't win this one, especially after you entered your car.

My exact words were, "Wow, now I'm definatly screwed."

I agree 100% with 01bluecls' assessment that the photography makes a huge difference, and the STORY as well.

You didn't just transform a car, you also told the story, showed the steps, took fantastic pictures that let us see what you saw, and made it all coherent. It communicated very well exactly what happened.

Anyone who has done a detail or a tutorial, let alone AN EXTREME MAKEOVER, with the intent from the beginning of writing it up and explaining it, knows that it's not that easy to do; it makes the work that much harder when you have to stage every shot, stop and take pictures, etc.

Congratulations on your second win in a row, you earned it!

Thanks everyone for their kind words. My assessment is really just the guidelines set forth by DavidB in the contest rules. I just made sure I could follow the rules to the most extent. He placed those rules for a reason, to help others see the true work that we had performed since it cant be seen "in-person" by everyone.

I ended up spending close to $150 instead of a hundred in the autopia store....oops I ordered 4" sonus spot pads with the necessary bkacing plate for the rotary and DA and even the drill adapter. I ordered literelly over half the new Meg's line-up of accessories since no where around here seems to carry them locally. I got some more of those Sonus Wunder Buffing towels (Expensive but top notch quality!!) and some various other things.

Some of the stuff I will be giving my gf's family so they can better take care of their cars properly instead of making me do it with my busy schedule!

Cant wait to see the upcoming entries for this month.....I love seeing all the entries transformations of vehichles!!
