April Contest 9x Honda Civic

I've been very busy all weekend with details, (4 to be exact), and I am very upset at myself for not getting any picutures of the first 3. But I finally remembered to take some before and afters of a nice honda.

Exterior:

-Wash with Turtle Wax "Platnium Edition"
-Clay with mothers claybar (took nearly 3/4!)
-Start off with Poorboys SSR2.5 x2 on a LC Cutting Pad
-SSR 2 on polishing pad ( which blew up in my face) x1
-Noticed a little bit of hazing, so I used some SSR 1 on anouther polishing pad ( which also blew up)
-Topped with NXT on a finishing pad

Interior:

-Vaccuum up slight mess
-Scrub with Sears brand industrial carpet cleaner
-Degrease interior using orange clean. (It was dressing greasy)
-Wipe down door jams
-Dress the interior and leather with Lexol
-Clean glass with No Touch Glass Cleaner

I'll post befores first:

WAS THIS PAINTED WITH A BRUSH!?!?

Afters are comin up, just need to upload them

After's:

Sorry about the darkness, but it started to rain when I was doing the detail, so I didn't want to screw everything up.

I managed to give it a little more shine and a deeper appearance.

Nice! Wish you could've taken the pics outside!

You are new to the PC right? It obviously worked well for you using the SSR 2.5 and 1, but was there a learning curve. It seems many of the board members that are new to the PC are having difficulty getting the swirls out. Any comment on the SSR 2.5 and 1? What do you mean when you say "blew up in your face"?

One more.

A picture of the rear portion of the interior. I apologize about the gloss, the flash went off, and the dressing wasn't wiped off yet.

The pad blew up, ie went into pieces.

I didn't have much trouble getting the swirls out, though the paint was very hard.

I learned that non-clear coated, brush painted sections cause havic on a pad. Surprisingly, the polishing pads never actually touched that section. The cutting pad was worn down a little bit, but it still looks near new.

I learned to buy larger bottles of product. I went through almost 1/4 of my bottle of SSR 2.5 on that car.
