Well I figure this was bad enough to enter into this months contest. Its a 2001 Civic Coupe with roughly 60,000 km's.
As you can see it needed some work..
The process I used was as follows:
covered basically the electrical connectors and the intake and filters...
1 . the engine was somewhat warm and I rinsed it down with a nice stream of water
2. then I sprayed on simple green automotive degreaser (already pre dilluted), let that sit for about 30 seconds
3. then scrubbed with a toothbrush and a couple other brushes to get in the tight spots
4. rinsed it off
5. went over and spots I missed the first time
6. started the car the speed up the drying process
7. dried the rest with a towel
8. then dressed the hoses with no touch tire spray.
