Welcome back! The past 84 hours have been a marathon to say the least. Prinzii and I started the forum upgrade project Saturday morning. We finished Phase I this morning about 2:30 AM.
PLEASE POST PROBLEMS AND COMMENTS HERE!
Phase I involved upgrading the vBulletin software from V2.3.5 to V3.0.7. The challenge was not the software upgrade, but rather rebuilding the Autopia look in the new environment. The template system changed significantly from version 2 to version 3. So much so that nothing is the same.
The forum software is running fine, but there are still many template tweaks (colors, font sizes, etc) and fixes (templates not displaying properly) that are needed. I hope we can have these minor issues taken care of by Wednesday. Also, many links are broken (such as the menu in the footer), but these are all very minor details. Right now I need sleep… so please live with these minor issues while I become human again!
The bigger issues are the things that are missing:
- Classified ads
- Web links
- File downloads
- Community information pages
All of these components will come back in Phase II (with the installation of new software).
In Phase III we will be adding so cool new features, which I will announce in the coming days.
