Smile What size of PC & Rotary pads is easy to work with?

Hi All,

I always get asked this question,

"What is the best size of PC and Rotary pads to use?".

For a PC, I say 6 1/2" pads
For a Rotary, I say 7 1/2" pads.

Am I correct?

What size pads do you like to use on both the PC and Rotary?

With Aloha,
Ranney

I prefer the flat 6.5" for both PC and Rotary but I do use the contoured 7.5" also.

Ranney...

I like the 7 1/2" pads from CMA...they are really nice and have a polish pocket that really helps with the rotary to minimize sling.

But the pads I really like now are the Edge Pads with the quick connect. Self centering with quick disconnect, dual sided, quality foam...

Did you pick a rotary to pick up yet?

After working with the Megs. flat pads, I really like them probably better than the countoured edge pads. So my vote is 6 1/2 flat for both. Anyone besides Megs. have flat pads?

i think detailersparadise.com offers both variable contour and flat pads in powerpad, cutting, polishing, and finishing. just call them and talk to nick because i think the pads are on backorder.

also, i dont like using the 7.5" pads on my PC. the PC seems to struggle with them on. the 6.5" pads just glide across the paint.
