I apply liquids with a PC (except SG which I feel is best applied by hand) and I apply pastes by hand.

I prefer to use the PC for working large areas or when doing the whole car. If I'm only working a small area (like when fixing a paint chip or scrubbing bugs, I'll do it by hand. Sometimes I'll start by hand and finish up with the PC.
Interesting poll.

I've tried SG with the PC. Didn't much care for the experience. I'm sure that it wastes the product...
Doing it by hand is not tuff, nor time consuming.

Almost always by PC or Cyclo. I honestly can't remember the last time I did it by hand (small/tight spots notwithstanding).
