What's your favorite way to apply a sealant?

Which MF applicators do you prefer for applying SG?

Just completed the removal of the thin SG coat that setup overnight. Applied it with a cotton terry covered sponge, b/c the only MF applicator I had I used to apply the AIO. Removed the SG with one wet (really just damp) MF and another dry one. I couldn't believe how easy it was to remove. All thanks to the great tips here on Autopia.

I use the PC almost exclusively these days. I find that I get thinner, more even coats that are easier to remove. I find that I use less sealant as well . . . once the pad gets loaded (which does require a little more product on the pad for the first few panels), it starts to give back almost everything you put on it. After the first few panels, it takes only drops of Zaino for subsequent panels. I use about 1/3 - 1/2 oz. for one coat; if I'm doing multiple coats of Z with ZFX, 1/3-1/2 oz. for the first layer, but only about 1/4 oz. for the following layers, as the pad is already loaded (I drape a damp MF towel over the PC pad while I'm removing already-applied Z to keep it from setting up).

I'm also lazy, and rarely pass up the chance to use a power tool (grunt, grunt).

I use David's Blue Foam applicators for AIO and SG. Nice grip on them!

Terry covered foam applicators. Terry one side. Foam the other. Best of both worlds.
