Do you have a heated garage?
Man, I sure wish I did. That's a big fat NO for me. How many lucky guys do we have out there?

My garage is always the perfect temperature. Salt control is another story. Most of you insulate your garages for temperature control... I'm insulating mine to keep the salt air out.

I've got a heated 2 door garage that can hold three cars (1 bay is 2 cars deep). It was about 55 degrees inside the garage last week when the outside temp went down to 5 degrees Farenheit . The wind chill made it seem like -10 F.

I'm heated now , I may upgrade my heater if I don't move in the next year. If I move I'll be building again this time I will probally do a heated slab.

Very interesting results so far. I figured that there were a lot more of us who didn't have garages. I didn't have a garage till last June. I'll never go without again. Someday I plan on buying a really nice garage with an attached house somewhere in Northern California. We'll see if that ever happens. For now I'll just be happy with my little single car garage...

What is this "garage" thing you people speak of?

No heat, BUT, it is the lowest level of our townhouse, which means that the two sides of it have GREAT insulation with other garages on each side, and the back of it is underground with a poured wall. It actually stays pretty nice in there...I would guess in the low 40's. Not too bad considering its a whoppin' 8 degrees out today!

My heated garage is the underground parking at my condo. So, I don't have decent light and I have no control over the heat.

I kind of miss the option:yes I have a garage but it's not heated.
'Cause that would be my answer.
It never gets colder than about 40°F inside during winter, so my detailing stuff is safe.
If the Q would have been : can you work on your car inside your garage, the the Answer would have been a great NO,
My car fits that garage like my hands in a chirurgic glove

This is my first fulll winter in new house with heated 3 car garage. I love it. Nothing like washing cars in the middle of a snowstorm.

Our basement temperature controlled garage is my "sandbox". I could not live without it.
