Detailing, Inside or out?
Would you rather detail inside a garage or out side?

 The GARAGE if . . . . .
If the Garage is big enough to open the doors and still be able to walk around the car and there is a nice flow of fresh air and has plenty of light.
I do like waxing a car outside in the shade on a nice spring day in the mid 70s.

In my whole life I've never detailed a car indoors. I don't currently have a garage so it probably won't happen any time soon.
The nice thing about working outside is that there's plenty of fresh air, no fumes. The bad thing is that as soon as you stop nature starts messing up all of your work.
Detailing inside seems like it would be nice. I'd like to give it a try, can I use your garage?

INSIDE, especially this time of year and since I don't have the luxury of a garage. (Hey, the question was if I'd rather...)

Inside, garage door in the up position. I like the shade and tunes afforded by the garage, but I also like to see the sunny day and people going by.

detailing inside is real nice, but i have to say detailing outside will get you more customers.
It might be a little harder to detail outside, but when everyone walking or driving around see's your work they will want to have a card and call to get their car done.

I voted : outside
Maybe I mis-interpreted the Q:
I most certainly love to detail outside : lots of space, fresh air , you can splash around with water as much as you want, funny looks on peoples faces when they see me in action,...
When weather not permitting I would like to be able to work inside , but I can't (garage not long & wide enough).

Agreed, plus you have more light outside so you can see what you are doing, especially when cleaning the interior.

In the summer definitely outside but you can only wash when you have an overcast sky. Inside in the winter, my garage is heated so I can get most of my detailing in.
