Cost to make MF Towel's?

I recently purchased about 25 16x16 mf towels and it came out to about $57.00 shipped. Just wondered how much it cost to make them? Vote for what you think. Thanks.

I imagine the cost of the manufacturing equipment is pretty significant.

I would say it costs about 68 cents to make a 16x16 MF towel that is without duty and shipping.I dont think I am that far off.The equiment (machinery) is not a lot of money.

The distribution price of a 12" x 16" piece of micro fiber is currently $.47 coming out of South Korea. What is interesting is that many feel that different distributors (Detailer’s Choice, Viking, Turtle Wax ect.) produce better MF than others but in actuality they are all getting from the same manufacturer just in different sizes and colors.

David B is correct MF is one of the most expense textiles to manufacture. Considering a terry towel of similar size is $.20 cents to produce.

I cant argue with that price but there are so many different qualities of MF towels. Is that the price for the plush ones?

Are you referring to the CMA "Big Blue towel"?

All I can tell you is that they are coming from East Asia, whether it be China, Korea, or Pakistan. The prices are all relatively the same, because labor is so cheap over in that part of the world. What happens is distributors go competitve shop, find someone else who has a better quality towel, then finds out who manufactured it and then they get the business. It is one revolving door.

yes and no prices are all the same unless you are buying DIRECTLY from the agent (big suppliers can do that)I use to be in the garment bussiness and there are ways of cutting your cost.If you have money and you put up the letter of credit prices come downbig time. Also volume discounts ECT at the end prices vary

My prices are based upon buyers that are supplying Wal-Mart, AutoZone ect. , so their piece per store movement is huge.
