The Brits overwhelmingly favor the NOO-ba pronunciation, whereas it appears that Americans tend to slightly favor the NEW-ba pronunciation. USA= Soda
Canada = Pop
Likewise for Kit-Kat, Snickers, Coffee Crisp, etc.:
USA= candy bar
Canada= chocolate bar
