Re: Autopia V4, Phase I Upgrade Complete

I can post sometimes. However, when I hit submit, it times out.
I thought it was a browser issue (firefox) but under IE, it still does the same thing when you click submit.

Re: Autopia V4, Phase I Upgrade Complete

This is minor, but on a multi-page thread, when you look at the box at the top and bottom of the page which shows the number of pages and which one you're on, the current page isn't bold (enough?) anymore to easily see which page you are on. I know it now actually says to the left of that which page you're on, but I always found it easier to just look for the bold number and click on either side of it depending on whether you want to go forward or back. This applies within threads and also when you list threads.

Well, it was short lived for me. Back to the old way of taking me to the first post. I wonder why it worked for awhile and then stopped.

I had to flush my browser cookies (FF) to get it to work consistently.

David, I'm going to echo the "font too small" comment. It's really small.

I read your previous comment about using the + key...that didn't do anything. Any other strategies for increasing the size?

Thanks.

For #2, I have my options to show 36 messages per screen. I wonder if a setting like that would cause the confusion in the code. For me, it seems like Autopia has lost the pointer since it autopia thinks it is looking for it (get reading autopia.org in the status bar) before jumping down to the first message in the thread rather than the last unread message.

Well, I have to admit, it's feeling that way to my eyes, as well. I will kick it up .5px and see if that does the trick.

Re: Autopia V4, Phase I Upgrade Complete

David, how about putting the list of "Who's Online" in alphabetical order like it was before. It makes it easier when searching for a member. Also, it would be nice to give more room to the "Active Threads" and expand this section. I found a minor bug. I have my settings to display the thread starting with the older posts first, but it keeps going back to displaying the newest posts first.

Good idea. I will add it to my growing list at low priority. I need to give attention to true bugs first. Thanks!

Thanks! BTW, love the new tags on the posts that give you a description of a product when you hover over it with the cursor.

Thanks! I'm going to open this feature to vendors who want to help me populate the database with their information. It's simply too much for one person to do.

Vendors... contact me if you're interested in having your products hot-linked to a description and YOUR WEB PAGE!
