Dodo Juice Red Mist Tropical Protection Detailer
I'm very interested in this product, but wonder how durable is it used alone and on top of existing wax and sealants.

Re: Dodo Juice Red Mist Tropical Protection Detailer
I love it! It smells great, you use so little to do a whole car. I dont know exact amount of time it last but jut say that it outlast any OD I have used. I can get a decent month out of it during good weather. The nice thing is I use it after everyway as it buffs easily once you realize you dont use much at all.
Have not used it alone, but I know DoDo has said and used it as a base for SN wax and not a topper.

Re: Dodo Juice Red Mist Tropical Protection Detailer
Thanks. Right now I am using Swissvax Saphir, when the runs out I plan on using either Rubbish Boys Juiced Edition, Rubbish Boys Original Edition or Dodo Juice Super Natural.

use it, love, ordering more, and ordering regular Red Mist from the UK.
It goes on thin, leaves nice shine, and most def adds to protection. When used every other wash or so, you'll notice a HUGE increase in slickness when you apply it

I say go with RBOE you get a much warmer look. SN is nice but for a lower price you get just as much durability and better looks IMO, put some red mist on it 24 hrs later and you have a killer look, ultra deep, wet and nice optical clarity.

I have OCW. I'm always looking at other products.

How much do you use per car? Doesn't seem like much.
I think I'll get RBOE to replace Swissvax Saphir.

Very very little. I've used my small (250ml) bottle at least 10-12 times and have at least half a bottle still. The sprayer it comes with doesn't allow tons of product out, but sprays in a nice pattern. When you use it, spray liberally as not much comes out and you'll see for yourself quite easily.
As for RBOE/SN/RBJE:
SN and RBOE will be similar in that both are very hard waxes. I wouldn't recommend using either by themselves for that reason. I only reach for my SN when a vehicle has a layer of sealant (JetSeal/ DGPS3.0 / Danase Sealant / DWG / Blackfire).
RBJE should be much softer and creamy, and therefor a little easier to work with.
This things will come down to personal preference in what you want out of a high-end wax, but I thought I'd at least mention these things as I don't know if you took them into account. G/L and please do tell how u end up liking these products

Re: Dodo Juice Red Mist Tropical Protection Detailer
I will be using the waxes after UPGP or maybe Opti-Seal (I use UPGP now).
Have you used RMTPD alone? Dodo Juice's site says you can, but I have yet to find anyone that has.

Re: Dodo Juice Red Mist Tropical Protection Detailer
Nearly all in the UK use Red Mist Trop. as a spray sealant / Qd after washing, not as a stand alone sealant.

Re: Dodo Juice Red Mist Tropical Protection Detailer
I have once. It surely does add protection, but I think it'd be a waste of time if you have a product like opti-seal or Z-CS, as they'd be quick to use but would provide much longer protection. If you have a car that wasn't just waxed/sealed, RMT can add a lot of slickness, gloss, and light protection. Additionally, I haven't had any problems with streaking with it
