Re: Meguiars Free Product Promo Offer

Just a friendly suggestion, maybe in the future just giving the 4th one free would go over better then mail in rebates. Autogeek is a great retailer, my personal favorite, but I just don't do mail in rebates. It's not worth the effort in my opinion, and I think that's what a lot of retailers count on. It may be a little worth it if it was actually BOGO, but it kind of looks like a normal sale price.

Re: Meguiars Free Product Promo Offer

The Meguiars special is actually a promotion from Meguiars, not Autogeek. The retailers get full purchase value out of their product, and then the consumers appeal back to Meguiars for their refund.

My frustrations with this deal are that it is restricted to their chemical products and that it does not include product larger than 64oz (like the Hyper Dressing). Does Meguiars offer the Hyper Dressing in a smaller size? ADS offers a 32oz sampler size, but that packaging is not valid for this promotion.

As stated by Xyxyll this is a Meguiars run promotion we are just passing on the information to you. This promo is not run nor governed in any means by Autogeek. Meguiars is hosting this and they are the ones in charge of sending you your rebate.

As for the 32 oz size they are not valid due to the fact they are rebottled by the seller, this is not Meguiars pouring it, its a retailer repackaging a product so no they are not official Meguiars products. As for why the gallon size are not included I am sure its because outside of you all who are mostly professional detailers, the average Joe usually does not buy the Professional Detailer Line. These products are not for your average guy who is only maintaining his vehicle. Not many people outside of everyone around on these forums would know what to do with Meguiars Paint Reconditioning Cream!
But with that said if its the gallons you like, grab them now with our 15% off and Free shipping, you can't beat that offer if you need to stock up.

Re: Meguiars Free Product Promo Offer

I did notice that it was Megs deal, but it is also posted on your BOGO page. Maybe it's just me, but my preference is to get the sale when I buy the product, as opposed to filling out a form, making sure you follow all the rules, send it receipts, upc's, make sure they are qualifying products, yada yada, wait for check, go to bank for a 5 to ten dollar check. I know this has nothing to do with Autogeek, because you guys always give your deals straight up, but it wouldn't hurt to mention to manufacturers that these tactics are old news. Sales are supposed to encourage a certain behavior, not hinder it in my opinion. I'll make my order, I need a bunch of stuff but I guess I don't need 4 Megs items anyhow. I was in marketing, and I don't even want to tell you what some companies do with your personal information when you fill out rebate forms.
