In Stock!!! New Lake Country Kompressor Pads

Lake Country Kompressor 7 inch Foam Pads

The Kompressor Foam Buffing Pads by Lake Country are made to hug your vehicle’s curves better than standard foam pads. The slotted pad face allows each Kompressor pad to conform to the shape of the body panel, thereby providing maximum surface contact. Each pad has a “sweet spot” that holds the polish on the pad longer and prolongs the pad life. Maximize your polishing efforts with Lake Country Kompressor Foam Buffing Pads!

Lake Country Kompressor Foam Buffing Pads

Four Different Pads in the Kompressor line:

Purple Cutting 7 inch Foam Pad – Use the purple foam pad to apply compounds and heavy cut swirl removers. The purple foam removes oxidation, heavy swirls, and most scratches.

White Polishing 7 inch Foam Pad – The white foam is less dense than the purple. Use the white pad with polishes, light swirl removers, and prewax cleansers. The foam removes very light imperfections, including swirls and light oxidation.

Black Finessing 7 inch Foam Pad – The black foam pad is very soft. Use it for wax and paint sealant application. The black foam has no cutting ability. It does a great job of spreading an even coat of paint protection.

Red Finishing 7 inch Foam Pad – The red finessing foam pad is the softest Kompressor pad. The red foam can be used to apply glazes, liquid waxes and sealants. This pad is also ideal for jewelling the paint with an ultra fine polish following the use of a swirl remover.

Re: In Stock!!! New Lake Country Kompressor Pads

Some questions.

What will be the cost per pad and will I need a backing plate larger than 6 inches?

How much for shipping?

Thanks

Re: In Stock!!! New Lake Country Kompressor Pads

Any chance we'll be seeing that in a 5.5 or 6" size?

How does purple compare with the green, orange, yellow that LC usually uses?

The purple is far more aggressive then any pad (think of it equal to a 100% twisted 4-ply wool pad) you mentioned.

It has INSANE levels of cut, but leaves behind a scoured surface. Personally I would stick with wool because purple will heat the paint quickly.

For the sake of education, please note that backing plate size WILL make a difference on how the pad fits and how it works. Too large a backing plate will force the outer lip outwards making the pad concave in the middle, and two small a backing plate will leave the pad slightly convex, with not enough side pressure pressing the foam blocks together.

So with that said, do you recommend a 6" BP? If not, what other size is best for these pads?

Subscribing to find out if smaller pads will be offered! They look good and are surprisingly $1 cheaper than the Meguiar's Soft Buff 2.0 pads

Quote from AG's site:

Recessed back. Each Kompressor foam pad has a recessed back. You can perfectly center the backing plate every time! The lip of foam around the recessed area helps protect the paint against accidental contact with the backing plate. Kompressor pads have hook and loop fasteners to hold the backing plate securely in place. Remember to press the center of the pad against the backing plate to create the sweet spot.

A 6 inch backing plate fits perfectly within the pad's recessed back.
