It figures

After flip-flopping for *weeks* about whether to buy a circular or the Flex 3401; I finally decided to get the Flex. Gave up on getting a deal anywhere, and just ordered from Autogeek on Saturday. Unfortunately, I've found that was too late for me to get it for this 3-day weekend, but what really blows, is tonite they just came out with $10 off, and the free $40 Flex bag!
Is it possible to have buyer's remorse before actual receipt?
And no, I'm not asking for the same deal after the fact, I understand that a date is a date.
But I must repeat "It figures".

Re: It figures

sometimes it happens, but at least you ordered and will have one. look at it from this perspective as a glass half full and not half empty...

Re: It figures

I'm certainly looking forward to using the Flex. There's two green Mustangs in the driveway that definitely are rode hard, and put up wet!

i would call them and see if they can do anything for you - i mean, you haven't even received the thing yet.

just a pet peeve, but if you're paying $230+ for a tool it should come w/ a damn case / bag. i'm still storing my flex in it's card board box. heck, i bought a cheapoo jig-saw last month for less then $75 and it came w/ a case.

So I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but really they don't throw boxes or bag in with products, those are in the total cost of the items. So you are paying for it. So with your cheapo jig-saw you payed for its case as part of the base cost of materials and manufacturing. I actually kinda appreciate it when I am not forced to buy the extra crap like plastic cases or what not. My thought processes is if I am spending larger amounts of money I want it to go into the quality of the products and not tall the accessories and junk that comes with it.

Since I have worked in consumer products for a few years I am keenly aware of how much this other stuff actually increases the price.

Matt,
I really wasn't expecting this (I was merely crying in my beer over my bad timing)...
BUT YOU GUYS ROCK! I feel much better about the purchase, and it even makes next week's delivery more bearable, cause I know there's a bag-n-goodies right behind it.
I will continue to support your store with my patronage, and you just reminded me why.
Thanks
