I cannot speak for the particular ones being considered....but in every case I have seen there needs to be serious mods to the rest of the door jamb, hinges cut, etc...all of which would be expensive to fix back to "stock" should you decide they aren't what you want after all.
Plus, the insurance companies may have something to say about a modification that technically changes the way the car protects it's occupants in a collision. You may find out the hard way that you would be responsible.
In the end...do as you like. I only post my thoughts as items that maybe should be considered before going with this install. |
