I detailed a client's car yesterday and he is on the board of directors for HADA (largest motorspor club in Canada)...on his car he had $300 brake pads from Japan made by Project Mu. I was shocked that on OEM rotors (honda), the car was able to stop stupid fast!
With that said, I recommend you check them out.

I personally would recommend Brembo blanks and something like Hawk HPS pads, as they are easy to get. If you want more info on the Project U pads, let me know and I will contact my client.
