He hooked it up wrong. It should shut off when you turn off the igntion. There are 3 main wires for a head unit. Constant power to the battery, ignition, and ground. He probably didn't correctly hook up the ignition wire.
You need to get a wiring harness adapter for a 63 corvette, and then wire your Alpine harness to the loose ends. |
