| Re: Photography tips and tricks Great reference there. One other item that I will add that I've learned (still very much learning) is how to adjust based on lighting. The smaller the F number, the the more light that the sensor will take in. And to go along with it, obviously the quicker the shutter speed, the less light that is taken in. So if you are taking a shot during a very bright day, you will need some combination of a higher F number, and a quick shutter speed. And of course the opposite if it's an overcast day. A lot of cameras, including mine, have a little meter on the display that will tell you whether the picture will come out over or underexposed (too much, or too little light).
Also take a look at the manual as well. The one my Panasonic came with gives pretty good explanations of how to use the features for basic pictures. |
