slinky i have been having the same problem as you with the 2.5 and small 5" pads. with the 6.5 i finished down really nice, but with the 2.5 i leave *alot* of hazing.

I believe the polish breaks down faster and you end up dry buffing. i will experiment more but thats my hypothesis if you will.
