BTW: To the person who commented on us "Americans" buying guns like takin a trip to Wal-Mart - It's not like this all over America. Where I live, most people don't carry guns. You mainly see that in rural America (to shoot wild animals i guess?), and high crime cities.
The problem is, guns are so readily available here its insane. |
In my opinion if there where more law abiding citizens carrying and allowed to carry in more places, instances like Virginia Tech and so on would not have escalated to as many deaths as they did.
I think more people carry than you might think. if you have a concealed weapon permit your firearm is concealed and you would never know if the guy/woman standing next to you in line at the grocery store was carrying or not.
I think the problem is the general publics ignorance toward guns and gun laws. I absolutely hate when a gun crime is committed and people want guns banned. It makes NO sense to me at all! The people committing gun crimes usually don't have legal guns. Banning guns won't stop them from getting them illegally, like they already do, and use them. Murder is illegal but that did not stop them. The only thing banning guns from the law abiding citizens is going to do is hurt those law abiding citizens and keep them from protecting themselves.
