Post Lotus Exige

This little fella belongs to a friend & was my Easter Sundays job.

She's in very good shape considering she is 7yrs old & used as a track car, as well as a every day run about.

I started off by rinsing her down with some SNOWSTORM through the hosecoil sudblaster, & whilst that was dwelling I got on to the wheels using a 4:1 solution of Megs Wheel Brightener & a megs wheel brush.

I then risnsed this all off & washed her down using SERIOUS PERFORMANCES own shampoo (:thumb: )

I then dried her off using a SONUS waffel weave towel

The paint was medium-hard, so it was a case of Menz IP & A 6" SFX-1 pad, run at speeds 2,4,5.5, with about 6 passes on easch speed.

I then went over the car by hand using ZYMOL HD-Cleanse, & in sundays heat, this wasnt an easy job, plenty of QD was used in the buffing off

Next up was the top wax, I mulled over what to use

I eventualy picked out ZYMOL CARBON after testing a section to see if it muted the flake pop, results were

The car has lots of carbon fibre extras on it & the Carbon really worked well. On the front splitter & sills I used Collinte 476, as these take a battering from all the crud.

I also used it on the rear engine cover, mainly for the 476 beading qualities.

There was tons of dust in the air, so I gave it a final dust over with a plush cobra MF & then a QD with Sonus Acrylic Spritz

The wheels were treated to a coat of SRP & PB Wheel sealant, the glass was done with Einzeitt glass cleaner.

It was then driven out in to the full sunday sunshine glory

Not a Halfruads add on
