I don't think I mentioned it but Josh is 7 years old (8 in February) which is why I was looking at the S9 Mini series. Do you think at his age he could handle a board closer to 30" as that would open up the choices a bit???

Even though Sector 9 is known for its longboards, we've mixed it up and taken things in the other direction. The Mentawii Mini is the shortest Sector 9 board measuring in at 26.5" long by 7.5" wide, but don't let the size fool you. This is a fully functioning skateboard manufactured to the highest standards at Sector 9. These little suckers can handle all you can throw at them. From kick flips to carving and even ramps, the Mentawii Mini is a fun addition to any quiver of boards. The Mentawii Mini has a concave deck with a kick in the tail. It comes set up with 8 3/8" Gullwining Mission Trucks, 61mm Nineball wheels, Greaseball Abec 5 bearings, mini risers, hardware and grip tape.
