The tires that I was working with were actually free from any other tire dressings because they were brand new with maybe 300 miles on them. I had washed/dried them prior to using the Tire Wax. For some reason, the slinging was really bad.

I also found that after application and letting the product sit as directed on the box, it formed a thick gel that was a bit of work to buff off. I felt that the Tire Wax applied easily, it was the removal that was a bit of a surprise.

You did not steer me in the wrong direction. I had wanted to give this stuff a try anyway - there's no harm done. I'm glad that it works better for you and that you are pleased with it. In my experience, the slinging was terrible. It does make me wonder why people's experiences with the same products can be so different though.
