Treating it just like CC/BC paint. So it really depends. If I'm doing the works on black... typically I buff with a compound like PG, OHC, and lately HTEC with a white LC VC, then polish twice with green P2 and 106FF (first time higher rpms and more pressure, second time slow and very little pressure). For two-step polish jobs, I simply cut out the compound step. But given how easy (relatively) the black SS finishes down halogram free, I can increase the aggressiveness of all three steps (like add a little PG in the mix for the second step and use more RPMs and pressure for the last step).
BTW, my second favorite black paint (to buff) is the GM - I like hard paint better than soft.
