| Turtle Wax Tire Wax is one of my favorite tire dressings. I have expierenced absolutely zero slinging (zilch!), and it leaves a not-too-shiny black finish on the tires for a couple weeks or more.
Are you sure you cleaned the tire thoroughly to remove the old tire dressing?? Just a thought, I'm sure you did it, though.
