i use the menzerna IP with a yellow cutting pad,
FPII with a white polishing pad and then my sealant / wax with a gray finishing pad,

you can even go from IP to your sealant, I have done this before,
and the most recent time i detailed my camaro, i went from IP to vanilla moose ( glaze ) then to a sealant
