I used treated 2x8's and 3/4" plywood instead of 2x4's and particle board. Its 8'x12', the grass is like an artifical turf. The cups were the hardest to install. It has natural downhill slant, to make it a little harder on the putts.

thought about putting a synthetic putting green in my back yard. since we have about 4 months of crappy weather, I decided I can go to the local range and save $1500

have to admit it would be nice to have though. good luck and be careful of that 3 foot downhiller, it is like lightning
