| I had an 01 V6 TRD Prerunner that I drove for 3 years. Then I sold it and bought the Chevy listed below. As far as dislikes go, they were few. It was fairly loud on the highway, and the seats weren't all the comfortable. The cabin was small too, compared to a full sized truck. But other than that it was a great truck. I drove it for 84,000 miles and never had a single engine problem. I read a Tacoma message board every day when I had my truck and the only thing that seemed to go out on people's trucks was the power steering pump. This was a 4x4 board, and I suspect that oversized tires contributed a lot to that. If you want some extra power, TRD makes superchargers for both the 4 and 6 cylinders. I don't know if they make anything for the new model 6 cylinder though. I put a supercharger on mine and it was a lot of fun, except there were some fuel problems in hot weather. Anyway, the Tacoma is a great truck. |
