| Somehow, I spent 5 years out there and only got 1 ticket ever. I chalk this up almost entirely to luck. I drive a lot slower now than I used to, but I sped all over Lubbock and got one ticket about 2 months before I graduated. My old roomate who still lives out there, got a ticket at one point for going 3 miles over the speed limit. As bad as Lubbock was, the drive between Lubbock and Amarillo was far worse as far as police coverage goes.
