I've used a PC on my bike, including the plastic panels and decals. You want to be careful, of course.

Other things to note:
- don't use tire dressing
- the windshield scratches easily, so be extra careful cleaning it
- don't use anything abrasive on the fork sliders
- don't contaminate the brake rotors with anything oily
- the areas around the chain will have a film of chain lube (grease with tacking compound) on them; you'll need a solvent or degreaser to remove that.
