| If you have black car, I think it is beneficial to do multiple Z5 to hide all the swirls within Z5's capability before jumping to Z2; however, Z5 & Z2 are interchangeable (you can Z5 after Z2 and not necessary PRIOR to Z2), so your switching back & forth of z1, z2,z5,z2,z5,z5,z2,z2 sounds just fine to me and have nothing to worry about. Basically, once you are happy with the way the paint looks and how the swirls are hidden, you can just use Z2 and jump back to Z5 whenever you start to notice swirls again. Or you can just use Z5 exclusively like a lot of people do.
After ZFX X 3, you really should wait 24 hours before applying more coats for proper bonding; however, I've heard someone did 6 coats all in 1 day and he didn't seem to have problem. I do not have first hand experience with this though.
For your friend's Black accord, I would definitely start out with as much Z5 as possible. |
