Same experience as you. Really weird paint because it is so prone to marring and hazing, so I go up with the polish before the pad. I'm fixing to post a black '04 and I've polished it every one of the 4-5 times I've waxed it, although heavy just the first time. Now I am simply continuing to refine the paint, certainly helps the owner is very meticulous himself and takes great care when washing it.

Absolutely superb work on that G35, the paint looks incredibly deep, rich and wet, like you could reach your arm into it and never touch metal!
