- Keying mark on the passanger door. This one is bad. It is down to the metal in some spots. I'm assuming the process above will work good?

I'm going to give it all a try because even if I mess up, I was still planning on having it all painted again.

Question: With the wetsanding, aren't you going to have a really really smooth area compared to say the area next to it? (maybe some orange peel and such). How do you "blend" this in?
You may not have to sand the bird etching. I've taken out some pretty brutal ones with a combo of an aggressive pad and polish - wetsanding with 3k will certainly make it easier to get it out, though.

Key marks are tough - if you're not filling them in it's hard to say whether they'll come out or not. I do wetsand whenever I come across a particularly tough scratch though, so it's worth a shot. On the passenger side one how long is the mark? If it's only a few inches I'd try the brush touchup, sand, polish. If it's much longer you might want to take it off really well, sand the taped off area, then apply some dupli-color from a spray can, wetsand and polish. It's the same premise as the touch up above, but a little easier - the thing is you have to be really careful witht he taping off and spraying.

Regarding orange peel - I've never had it be so noticable that it bothered me. There is definitely a small difference in some spots, though. If it did bother me I'd just wetsand the area around the touchup really lightly to kind of blend the OP-difference.
