For years I'd taken my previous cars to places to have them cleaned. The methods these places employ now make me cringe. Sponges, one container containing a mysterious wash solution and no seperate rinse container. Cars jetwashed to within an inch of the paintwork's life. And the dreaded post wash chammy.
However, I've been researching my current ride (the RX-8) for the last two years before finally being able to buy it. As a result I discovered Zaino, then from that something called detailing, and from that I finally discovered the whole detailing process and exactly what each step is supposed to acheive. I discovered by a rather indirect route, exactly how a car should be washed, dryed, clayed, polished and sealed. I discovered the purpose of each step, the methodology and how to understand what each product offers and how it fits into the whole process.
At the risk of sounding religious: I have seen the light!
